I'm Max, from Rome, Italy.

I really think it's a very good idea to try to connect people which likes friendship, travels and finds new friends around the world sharing help, hosting and guides for travelers. I really wish this site can be useful for people which want to go to New York from Italy. I wish they'll find here interesting news, testimonies, stories opinions, and many other important things for who, like me, decides to make one new experience in a foreign country, but especially in one only city like New York. Another usefulness could be for the residents of New York to which it appeals to the Italian culture. If they will want to come in our Country they will be able to find Italians that they will be able to make for they the same thing. I'm seriously planning to move to New York next autumn/winter, to stay there for three months, I'm trying to find a flat/room/apt/coach and, possibly find a part-time job as waiter or work in the kitchen, washing the dishes or adding the chef (I like to cook very much and I'm nearly sure that this can happen more probably at Little Italy) and, in the meantime, I wish to contact local people from New York with interest and points of view that I think are closer as possible to me. Being in Rome until that moment during this summer I’ll be able to host people in my house close to the Vatican, especially people from USA because I’ve a relationship with a girl, in particular, and some friends from USA living and working here (Waiter, Hostess, Tourist Guides, Theatre Directors and Actors, DJ's and else). I'll be able to cook Italian food, to show him/her the town, to send books and, just in case, give a hand to him/her to find a job and a place to stay. It will be useful above all if we'll want to speak in English/Italian. So. The scope of this situated one is not new, there are many situated and groups like this. My scope is above all that one to simplify the search and to make to meet the persons that they have all the same scope: The city that we call the “Great Apple” does not have to be a “forbidden fruit”. Thanks for your collaboration, in whatever form it will be.
